Former Lt. U.S. Navy Pilot Dismisses Rumors of Loose Nuke in the US
Ryan Graves dismisses lost nuke rumors, saying agencies monitor threats, drones struggle to detect nuclear materials.
Speculation about drones searching for gamma radiation from a lost nuke has been refuted by Ryan Graves through his contacts.
“… some of the folks that I’ve come in contact with with they specifically work on weapons of mass destructions. So that’s that’s their job. So if there’s a loose nuke in the United States, among other agencies, they would be some of the people that would be sitting in a skiff for 24 hours a day trying to figure out where it is and to go get it right.” – Ryan Graves
The Department of Energy says drones struggle to detect nuclear materials due to shielding issues, so recent sightings likely aren’t a nuclear threat. Their origin and purpose remain unknown.
