“I Did What I Had to Do”: Pelosi Admits Role in Coup to Remove Joe Biden

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi defended her role in ousting Joe Biden from the 2024 race after she was confronted about it by CNN’s Jake Tapper at the DNC.

“I did what I had to do,” Pelosi said Monday. “He made the decision for the country. And my concern was not about the president, it was about his campaign.”

Sometime after coming clean about her role in pressuring Biden to drop out, a guilty-looking Pelosi was seen in the audience chanting, “We love Joe”, with the crowd.

Pelosi acknowledged last week in so many words that she played a central part in getting Biden to drop out.

“So I really wanted him to make a decision of a better campaign, because they were not facing the fact of what was happening,” she told the New Yorker.

“Just a little background. I’ve never been that impressed with his political operation… I’m not. I just haven’t been. I mean, it just happened. They won the White House. Bravo.”

“So my concern was, this ain’t happening, and we have to make a decision for this to happen, and the President has to make the decision for that to happen,” she added.

Biden likewise reportedly told one of his aides that Pelosi “did what she had to do” in getting him to drop out because she “cares about the party.”

Journalist Seymour Hersh reported in the days following Biden’s exit from the race that Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries plotted with Barack Obama and Kamala Harris to use the threat of the 25th Amendment to get Biden to step away from the race.

“By Saturday, July 20, former President Barack Obama was deeply involved, and there was talk that he would place a call to Biden,” Hersch explained on Substack. He describes how a well-placed official told him that Pelosi, Schumer and Jeffries conspired with Obama to invoke the 25^th Amendment, leading to a phone call with Biden in which the former president said, “Here’s the deal. We have Kamala’s approval to invoke the 25^th Amendment.”

After a delay of several hours, a “pissed” Biden delivered farewell remarks at 1AM EST — well past primetime — where he perpetuated the Democrat hoax greatest hits about Trump, then left the event for good to go on vacation in California.
