Schweizer Highlights ‘Smurfing’ as a Major Threat to Election Integrity

This tactic allows donors to skirt legal campaign limits and allows foreign money to infiltrate U.S. political campaigns.

The Government Accountability Institute (GAI) is investigating ‘smurfing,’ one of 50 threats looming over American elections, and exposing its power to undermine democracy.

House Republicans are demanding an FEC probe into ActBlue, the Democratic fundraising platform, over explosive ‘smurfing’ allegations tied to Kamala Harris’ campaign.
