Last week, El Salvador President Nayib Bukele held a meeting with executive branch government officials to inform them he instructed the nation’s attorney general to begin investigating them all for bribery.

Talking to the attorney general, Bukele said, “I want to ask him publicly to investigate everyone sitting here retroactively and in the future.”

Bukele explained he hopes to leave behind a great legacy, which cannot be done if his administration is riddled with thieves and criminals.

He said he does not want to stain his legacy by surrounding himself with thieves, telling the government officials, “That won’t happen to me.”

The bold leader posted a video of the exchange on his social media accounts.

Translated into English, Bukele’s message on X read, “It is not the first, and it will not be the last. If God allows it, our war against corruption will be as successful as our war against gangs.”

“Based,” responded X owner Elon Musk.

Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec commented, “Please, God let this happen here.”

Anti-globalist leaders like Bukele, Brazil’s Bolsonaro and America’s Donald Trump strike fear in the political establishment as a worldwide populist uprising threatens their Great Reset agenda.
