Colonel Earl Matthews, the chief legal advisor for the DC National Guard, testifies that Donald Trump’s authority on Jan 6 was ignored by senior military leadership.

According to Matthews, US military leaders revoked President Trump’s Commander-in-Chief powers that day and refused to move in the National Guard – because uniformed soldiers at the Capitol looked bad.

Matthews argued that the actions of these military leaders on January 6 were so egregious that they should be subject to a military trial.
