In the era of COVID-19, the core pillars of medical ethics, such as “informed consent” and “do no harm,” have been grossly violated over the past three years. Over 36,000 COVID vaccine-related deaths, 209,000 hospitalizations, and 27,000 myopericarditis cases have been reported to VAERS. How many disabilities, injuries, and deaths could have been avoided if the COVID shots were never mandated?

The Wellness Company’s Spike Symposium hosted three experts, doctors Julie Ponesse, Paul Alexander, and Richard Amerling, to discuss the ethics of vaccine mandates. The conversation was moderated by Brandon Kuemper. Here’s what they had to say:

Dr. Julie Ponesse Stressed the importance of informed consent as a cornerstone of bioethics, emphasizing the values of autonomy and self-governance. She argued that there has been an erosion of these principles in recent years. She noted that informed consent has been weakened in other areas as well, like gender transitioning in minors. Ponesse also questioned whether mandates are ever morally justified, given that they inherently involve coercion. Even if a mandate benefits the majority, she questioned if sacrificing the freedom of some individuals for the greater good is ethical.

Dr. Paul Alexander highlighted that informed consent was already a challenge before the pandemic. He stressed that patients should know not just the benefits, but also the potential harms of a medical intervention for a truly informed decision. Alexander also argued that mandates for the COVID-19 vaccines were not needed because they don’t stop transmission, and therefore, offer no broad societal benefit.

Dr. Richard Amerling claimed that the tenets of medical ethics, including informed consent and “do no harm,” have been largely abandoned in modern medicine. He criticized public health as inherently coercive and even Marxist in its neglect of individual autonomy.

Were you mandated to take the COVID vaccine? How would you feel you were mandated to take another? The Wellness Company is trying help individuals avoid this conundrum by offering vaccine exemption letters — signed by a licensed TWC medical professional who values medical freedom.
