How Long Can Biden Hang On?

Just as President Donald J. is walking a strange path on his return to the US Presidency quite unlike anything this country has ever seen before, the current occupant of the White House is also experiencing a very strangest of journeys to the election this November.

Joe Biden, as he is supposedly running for reelection, is facing not just impeachment in the US House of Representatives but also growing scandals surrounding him and his corrupt family.

It wasn’t enough that Joe and Jill Biden took advantage of a troubled son with drug and sex addictions by forcing him into the role of being the family bag man, setting up shady deals in foreign countries all over the globe.

The entire family has been pulled into the sordid criminal schemes, according to evidence given to Rep. James Comer’s House Ways and Means Committee by whistleblowers from the IRS.

Bank records and SARs reports [Suspicious Activity Reports] showed investigators that even the Biden grandchildren had deposits made into bank accounts bearing their names.

Tracing the origin of the money deposited into the accounts of the Biden grandchildren was no easy task. The money trail led through more than two dozen shell LLC companies, and IRS investigators testified to the Committee how it took them considerable time and effort to decipher the maze of transactions to finally arrive at the source: individuals and businesses in China, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Romania, among other foreign countries.

Suddenly after years of denials and obfuscations attempting to deny millions of dollars had changed hands in these shady foreign deals, the IRS whistleblower evidence given to the Congress and the indictment handed down against Hunter Biden by the David Weiss Special Counsel’s Office pretty much ended any attempt at denying the corruption.

It must be remembered as this historical 2024 presidential campaign season unfolds that while Donald Trump is the target of one Special Counsel’s Office led by Jack Smith, Joe Biden is currently the target of TWO Special Counsel investigations, the one led by Weiss and the one run by Robert Hur, who is investigating the classified documents scandal involving Biden.

You remember THAT scandal, right? That even as they had raided Trump’s Mar A Lago home and indicted him for supposedly stealing classified material, and the news media was endlessly hyping just how much trouble Trump was in with Special Counsel Smith hot on his trail…all of a sudden, the hapless Biden suddenly had his OWN classified documents scandal blow up very publicly in his face. 

So, on top of facing impeachment, and two ongoing special counsel investigations, Biden keeps demonstrating cognitive difficulties while trying to stumble his way through speeches, such as the one he gave Wednesday afternoon where he insisted he’d just had his picture taken with Congresswoman Ross, when she wasn’t even there. 

Biden **might** be able to carefully pick his way through the minefield path before him over the next half year if he was at the top of his game and had lots of political capital to draw on.

But he’s not and he doesn’t. He’s clearly not at the top of his game, and any capital he possessed back in January 2021 a this inauguration has long since been squandered. A lot of political commentators do not see him lasting to the election itself.

Trump, like Godzilla, will just keep eating whatever they throw at him and keep coming right at them with a ferocious smile on his face, while Biden stumbles and bumbles around and tries to find the exit. 

Throughout its long and rich political history, I don’t’ think America has ever seen a political race quite like this one.  And it may never see anything like it again.
