Houston, We Have a Problem: 𝕏’s Community Notes Feature Has Been Compromised

Published

on

Can you see this post? You are on vigilantnews.com, so yes. But if this were 𝕏, there would be a good chance you wouldn’t because my account has been serial community noted to the ground.

@chrislittlewoo8 has uncovered that a single Community Notes Contributor, Enterprising Desert Raven, has submitted 70 community notes per day without rest since March 2023.

My account, ChiefNerd’sKanekoaTheGreat’s, and just about anyone questioning Big Pharma and the safety and efficacy of the so-called COVID-19 vaccines have had their posts repeatedly noted by Enterprising Desert Raven.

Even when posts don’t get noted, there is a belief that submissions alone can hurt a user’s reach over time. This may be the end goal of serial noting — to game the system and hurt the opposition’s reach.

My reach, in particular, has been severely impacted. The engagement with my weekly news roundup posts has experienced a significant decline, as evident from the attached screenshots. Initially, these posts were reaching a substantial audience, with the October 8th roundup attracting 3.4 million views, followed by a peak of 4 million views on November 5th. However, a notable downward trend emerged towards the end of November. The viewership dropped to 2 million by November 26th and further plummeted to just 1 million views by the end of December. That’s a staggering 75% decrease in views within a mere two-month span.

UPDATE: In an ironic development, my post about Community Notes was flagged with a note from a contributor who regularly tries to discredit my posts, proving that specific users are being targeted.

This specific contributor, going by the name Cool Clay Osprey, frequently submits notes on posts from my account, Dr. Peter McCullough’s, genomic expert Kevin McKernan’s, or any piece of content on 𝕏 challenging vaccine safety, as evidenced by their rebuttal history.

Cool Clay Osprey claims that community note submissions do not affect a user’s engagement, but I am not the only account that has made this observation. Several individuals have complained that their reach has been significantly slashed over the past few months. According to a recent poll, 94.6% of 𝕏 users in the dissident community believe Community Notes need to be fixed. I call on you to take action, Elon Musk.

Quoting @chrislittlewoo8, he said:

“You [Elon Musk] urgently need to do a complete audit of community notes, especially targeting the most active contributors. They are either bots or groups of bad actors working together to utilize a single account and push an agenda. IP and Mac Address access would easily identify this. I’m a community notes contributor, and I am telling you that the system is compromised.”

Until this problem is resolved, I recommend hitting the bell for your favorite accounts on 𝕏. This simple action is the most reliable method to stay connected and receive updates from your favorite individuals on the platform.
