Your Bank & (Dis)Trust

In March of 2024, an explosive House of Representatives report revealed that major US banks voluntarily colluded with government agencies to spy on citizens who were simply living their lives lawfully.

Led by Congressman Jim Jordan, The Committee on the Judiciary and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government reported that documents “show a pattern of financial surveillance aimed at millions of Americans who hold conservative viewpoints or simply exercise their Second Amendment rights.”

Collusion between Government and Banks

Specifically, the FBI and the Federal Reserve’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) suggested to banks that they search money transfer notations for terms such as “AMERICA FIRST,” “TRUMP,” and “MAGA,” to form a list of people to be treated as suspected bad actors.

Implicated in this egregious, non-compulsory data-sharing were Bank of America, Citibank, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Charles Schwab, PayPal, KeyBank, Western Union, HSBC Barclays, and many others.

Banks: No Subpoena? No Problem!

“Americans doing nothing other than shopping or exercising their Second Amendment rights were being tracked by financial institutions and federal law enforcement.” Simply shopping at Bass Pro Shop or Cabela’s, or purchasing religious texts (including Bibles), was enough to put lawful citizens under suspicion of Homegrown Violent Extremism. Likewise, just renting a hotel room in the Washington area in January 2021 led to innocent Americans being placed on government watchlists, thanks to these unscrupulous banks.

Thankfully, Old Glory Bank recognized the need for a free-speech bank that promises to protect its customers’ privacy. Co-founded by Ben Carson, Larry Elder, John Rich and other patriots, the online bank is the choice of tens of thousands of like-minded individuals and businesses in every state of the Union.

Freedom-loving Americans are deciding to flee the banks and financial services businesses that have betrayed them and are moving their business to Old Glory Bank.

First Came Censorship

It wasn’t long ago that we learned how the government looked to the private sector to stomp on Americans’ free speech in ways it isn’t allowed to do itself.

Most notably, we discovered through Missouri vs. Biden that the Biden Administration, Surgeon General, CDC and FBI colluded with platforms like X (Twitter), Facebook and YouTube to suppress the viewpoints of individuals who argued the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop or were critical of COVID policies regarding masks, lockdowns and the mRNA vaccines.

Then Came the Elimination of Civil Liberties

The government has struck again, this time working with big banks to implement aggressive attacks on citizens’ rights to privacy and the presumption of innocence. Said the House report, referring to Bank of America specifically, “It is highly disturbing for any huge financial institution to comply with such a sweeping request from federal law enforcement and hand over its customers’ information without any legal process or regard for the privacy of its customers’ information.”

The same can be said about the long list of financial institutions referenced above that engaged in similar patterns of cooperation.
