Why You Should Never, Ever Voluntarily Talk to the FBI

Lessons learned from Walt Nauta.

I feel really bad for Walt Nauta.

Nauta is the Donald Trump Mar A Lago employee who has been caught up in the Jack Smith Special Counsel investigation. Smith revealed that he has filed a criminal charge against Nauta for supposedly making a false statement to federal investigators.

Famous last words:

“I don’t have anything to hide. I’ve done nothing wrong. Because I’m innocent, no reason I shouldn’t sit down and help the FBI close this little matter they’re so concerned about!”

It’s almost like NOBODY has learned anything from what happened to General Flynn and many others over the past couple of years.

Walt Nauta, you’d REALLY THINK he’d know better. But apparently, he did not. He went and sat for a ‘voluntary interview’ with the FBI.

And now they’ve just used the same kind of ‘false statement’ trap on him that they used on General Flynn and many, many others.

As somebody who has covered DOJ/FBI malfeasance since 2017, when it first started to surface as various hoaxes and fake stories were leaked liberally throughout the Fake News Media, I would have HOPED most Americans – especially those patriots around Donald J. Trump – would have learned how to deal with the freaking corrupt FBI when it approaches them for a ‘friendly’ interview. Do not cooperate with a weaponized goon squad.

The Princess Bride (1987)
“Are you tryin’ to TRICK me?!” Yes, Fred, they are tryin’ to trick you…

When they approach you, they’ll frame the interview request as if you would be doing them and maybe even yourself a huge favor. They have a problem. A very concerning problem…and YOU can help them with it!

There won’t be any strong-arm tactics at first. They’ll even let you pick the venue for any proposed interview. The interview will be on YOUR turf. You’ll be in total control!

BUT IT WILL BE A TRAP. No matter WHERE that interview takes place.

They did this with General Flynn, remember? That interview with corrupt FBI agents Peter Strzok and Joseph Pientka took place right in Flynn’s new office inside the Trump White House.

James Comey and Andrew McCabe have both bragged about how ‘easy’ it was to ‘set up’ General Flynn for this ambush interview with Strzok and Pientka on January 24, 2017. Comey’s even on video during a media interview boasting how Flynn never seemed to suspect a thing.

McCabe even made sure to ‘remind’ Flynn he didn’t need to have any counsel present for this interview since it was just a perfunctory matter to help ‘close the issue’ of the phone call leak and media furor over Flynn’s phone contacts with the Russian ambassador.

Pictured from left to right: Peter Strzok, Michael Flynn, and some ghost nobody’s seen in five years.

So the way the story goes, Flynn is completely lulled into complacency by McCabe’s soothing phone call offer to set up the interview with the agents. And so because he assented to that interview, the DOJ, the FBI, and later, the Robert Mueller Special Counsel were able to invent a hoax to prosecute Flynn for supposedly making a false statement to the agents during that interview.

That fateful interview led to a three-year-long persecution of an innocent man.

And this case with Walt Nauta shows me absolutely NOTHING has changed.

People who **really should** know better by now are apparently still agreeing to sit down with the FBI for ‘friendly interviews’ to ‘help’ the agency ‘clear up a few details’ and ‘help them understand what really happened.’

It’s so sad and infuriating at the same time.

This MUST be understood. Everyone in America needs to fully grasp this. THIS is how you respond to a request from the FBI for an interview:

REPEAT AFTER ME:

I WILL NEVER SPEAK TO THE FBI EXCEPT THROUGH LEGAL COUNSEL.

I WILL NEVER HAVE A MEETING WITH THE FBI WITHOUT LEGAL COUNSEL PRESENT.

I WILL MAKE MY OWN RECORDING OF ANY INTERVIEW WITH THE FBI.

I UNDERSTAND THE FBI ARE NOT MY FRIENDS, AND NO INTERVIEW WITH THEM IS ‘FRIENDLY’, AND ANY ATTEMPT ON MY PART TO ‘HELP’ THEM CAN BE TURNED INTO AN ATTEMPT TO PROSECUTE ME FOR AN INVENTED CRIME.

Trump can’t come back soon enough.
